  4. The potable water supply should be uninterruptable and never limited; 20 PSIG Min., 30 PSIG preferred.

  5. The emergency shower eye/face wash combination unit should be totally accessible from three sides without obstructions.
INSTALLATION:
  1. Uncrate and move to location area. End removal in easiest; simply cut strapping.

  2. Mount to prepared floor structure; 9" diameter, 8" bolt circle, and three equally spaced 3/8" mounting holes, except Models ES-1. Note: Unit base is solid steel and may be welded in place.

  3. Hook up pre-flushed 1-1/4" incoming water supply line; potable water is mandatory. Note: The most frequency problem is debris and rust, etc. in the incoming water supply line; 30 PSIG water pressure preferred, 175 PSIG maximum. Model ES-1 is supported by lower union and may require some type of column brace above the five foot level.

Caution: Before the inlet water is turned on the overhead shower control arm should be in the shut off position; up all the way (about 45° angle). The eye/face wash unit should be in the shut off position; "push" flag pulled all the way forward toward the user position: parallel to the eye/wash nozzle plane.

  4. Remove (LB) conduit cover (2-4 screws) and hook up factory wiring using appropriate wire nuts or solder. Replace cover. Note: Since the water pipe itself is anticipated to be a perfect ground, the lights are generally, non-metallic, the third wire (ground) has not been provided in some instances. 110-120 volt, 60 HZ, single phase AC.

  5. OEM references and instructions are provided for options.
